I was inspired to become a doula after the births of my children. I became fascinated with pregnancy and the birthing process. During this time, I also become aware how little support and guidance there was available for new mothers'. In today's medical birth culture, getting education and evidence-based information doesn't come readily available often leaving expectant families to navigating their birth on their own. Soon after my own births, I learned more about doulas and how they can help the birth experience. I was determined to start my doula journey so more expecting families can have a positive birth experience.

  My birth philosophy is preparing both the body and mind for birth. I will help families prepare for their birth by teaching evidence based birth education, while breaking down the mechanics of a physiologic birth. Learning how  women's bodies were designed to grow, birth, and feed our babies, can help give you the confidence to make informed choices that is right for you. Regardless what your birth will look like, staying informed and educated, while understanding the importance of an instinctual birth, will give you an empowering birth you will always remember.

 As your doula, I will provide both emotional and physical support from the start while respecting your choices. I offer two in-home prenatal meetings that is focused on providing you with confidence for a better start into parenthood.
