Providing guidance and support for an empowering birth.
Bella Vita Doula Services
"A Beautiful Life"
Hello, Thanks for visiting.
A Birth Doula is a non-medical trained professional that provides support throughout pregnancy and birth while providing evidence-based education. I am a certified birth doula with DONA International, the first and largest doula organization in North America.

I'm Jordan Allen. I'm originally from the Chicago suburbs, but after several visits back in 2013, I fell in love with Colorado and decided to make this beautiful state a forever home with my husband. For over ten years, we have been living near the foothills in Golden. I became a mother in 2016 and welcomed our second child in 2018. Motherhood has taught me a lot about societies expectations and the reality of parenthood. Becoming a mother has also taught me to trust my own maternal instincts, and understand my baby's needs by learning the amazing primal instincts that are hardwired in every newborn. In our modern world, we have forgotten about these primal instincts and replaced them with modern conveniences. This has inspired me to remind other expecting mothers' that they are designed to birth and care for their babies, by learning to trust their bodies and trust their maternal instincts. After several years of being a full time mother, I'm thrilled to be a Certified Birth Support Doula. When I'm not attending to clients, I enjoy gardening, hiking and spending time outdoors with my children.

The more I learned, the more I became fascinated with pregnancy and birth. I also became aware how little support and guidance there was available for expecting mothers'. Most women only see birth on T.V shows and movies, leaving expecting mothers' feeling unprepared and anxious. In today's medical culture, many mothers' are not provided with evidence-based education and birthing choices. I believe understanding what a physiological birth looks like and breaking down evidence-based birth education, can help mothers' feel more prepared and confident for an empowering birth experience.

My birth philosophy is preparing both the mind and body for birth. Learning about nutrition and body movement, can help with providing a better pregnancy and birth experience. I focus on helping families prepare for their birth by starting with evidence-based birth education, while breaking down the mechanics of a physiological birth. I explain how women's bodies were designed to grow, birth, and feed our babies, giving expecting mothers' confidence, to make informed choices that's right for them. Every mother and baby is unique, just like every birth. Regardless how your baby is born, staying informed and educated on your birthing choices, will give you an empowering birth you will always remember.

As your doula, I will respect your choices and provide resources and guidance. It's important to me to build trust and a friendship with my clients. By offering two in-home prenatal meetings, this allows us to get to know each other and helps me learn how to best support you. I provide Evidence-Based birth and breastfeeding education during these meetings, providing you and your partner with confidence for the best start into parenthood.
